Rising tax on oil is a great thing it will deter us from using our cars and there fore benefit us as a civilistaion as we will be able to susstain our living
To secure our safety as a race we need to spread out across the univers. Now! After the boom of space explorations during th 70’s i would have thought that 30 years on we would at leats have a perminent base on the moon

yes because gas prices going up will not do anything people are still going to buy it because they need to travel some people can not just walk or ride they’re bike anywhere and hybrid and electric cars are to exspensive so ya you are crazy

Yes, you are crazy and I do not agree with you. Raising tax on oil punishes producers in society and rewards people that do not. <<<<<News flash>>>>> Look around you; just about everything from plastics to rubber to the shampoo and Vaseline we use comes from petroleum byproducts a.k.a. oil.
And then you must also consider that almost all the things we buy are transported with the use of oil based fuels. Put a tax on oil and you virtually put a tax on everything.
Look, don’t put the world behind a prism of any one type of ideology that seems to have good intentions above all. Instead, let things play out and trust that we will not in fact destroy the planet as we make use of it’s wonderful resources. Human kind will grow and find balance only if we allow it to advance and prosper. An across the board oil tax will hinder our technological growth and not help it.
You speak of the moon. A recent discovery of the moons mineralogical content is spurring new ideas that would make it possible for the free market to build more efficient and safer energy sources. But beware, only mega-wealthy profit seeking corporations are likely to bring about such advancements in the future. This is not a bad thing for a society that is always increasing in population!
Even though I prefer not to have to hunt for my own food, I commend your citation of Native American wisdom and encourage you to seek any life style that suits you as long as you’d grant me the same.
To sum my philosophy into one word – Homeostasis.
