Peak just means the peak of production not the end of production. From Peak the cost of oil extraction increases. We hit a peak in oil discovery in 1960. But who knows about new tech and deap sea drilling.

    We’re not going to …
We’re not going to create anything because we still have plenty of oil to last us another 100 years. If we dare to find alternative energy, oil companies will drop the price so low that it is cheaper just to use oil instead. It happened like this many times before and it will happen again untill the oil is gone.

I’m half dutch and half american, I’ve moved back and forth a few times throughout my life, and visit both places often (family). Whenever I go back to the US Im shocked by how oil dependant your entire culture is, driving from the grocery store to pick up kids from school and then back home and god knows where else. Everywhere you go you need a car apparently. In holland most people bike when they go places.

    ATTENTION: …
ATTENTION: Apparently chevron oil (corrupt American oil company) bought the rights to NiMH battery technology so they could prevent auto manufacturers from using it to build more efficient hybrid vehicles and force us to keep buying gasoline. The name of the company that produced the NiMH batteries used to be Ovionic Battery Systems, but Chevron and Texaco bought the company and changed the name to Cobasys and made it impossible for auto manufacturers to buy the batteries. Search it for yourself

“it’s all the more important that we start talking about Nuclear Power as THE best option for the future. Solar and wind can help, but are hopeless for creating very large amounts of energy. The only other option is to give up, which is ridicules.”

Call me crazy, but we could…..

    get by with less?

Do we really need a car for every person in the house, new clothes every season, so much food in the fridge that we have to throw some away when it rots… etc.

    small changes add up.
