there is definitely … there is definitely a lot of misinformation on the oilsands. most of the “surface/close to surface” product is strip mined & reclaimed. the deeper, more spread out product is drilled for. don’t ume oilsands work is “toxic”. THERE ARE ENVIRONMENTAL STANDARDS THAT MUST BE MET!! do some research!!
the amount of land … the amount of land that would be required to sustain our fuel needs are not available…especially if we want to eat….we need room to grow food!! do some research…corn can be refined to ethanol…but again, to meet demands, it would take more land than available..and with world wide food shortages that would be disastrous..

Tearing up 1000’s … Tearing up 1000’s of acres of forest, polluting the water, the air, and killing off the wildlife to invest in something that will contribute to the destruction of a planet to benefit companies should be illegal. This is the most corrupt industry I’ve seen.

i live in fort … i live in fort mcmurray and i for one do not own a large house or drive a large truck.. i can definitely get behind any initiative to help reduce the greenhouse gases emitted by these plants.. i am insulted by the narrators comments that people in fort mcmurray turn a blind eye.. people in this town care as much if not more then most anyone else considering we are the people that are more so directly effected by this pollution..
