World Health …
World Health Organization:
“DU, consequently, is weakly radioactive (…) A recent United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) report … indicates that contamination by DU in the environment was localized to a few tens of metres around impact sites. Contamination by DU dusts of local vegetation and water supplies was found to be extremely low. Thus, the probability of significant exposure to local populations was considered to be very low.”
As I said, just a mass hysteria (”Uranium? oh no!”).

… do you know …
… do you know what “depleted Uranium” means? It’s not that we find traces of Uranium in our bullets and then use a process to “deplete” that Uranium so all of our shells are nice and eco-friend…. it means that we use a process to remove all of the Uranium from a hunk of metal and then make our shells OUT of that Uranium. Making our bullets very heavy, very strong, and yes, radioactive.

Unless you do …
Unless you do something really stupid (I don’t know – eat the dust from a destroyed vehicle?), nothing’s bad is going to happen. It’s just a mass hysteria really. Learn how low radiation level is of DEPLETED Uranium.
“Inhalation”: See at these oil fires fumes that were visible from space for months. Do you think breathing this kind of air was safe for health, or that they always wore gas masks?

iraqis wanted kuwaity land and they got outside of it and lived in saudi arabia then they planned and put an army around kuwait and they said ”

and went back to iraq.
then the americans said lets just stop the fire destroying the oil and deal with that later .

Sure, but uranium …
Sure, but uranium as it was combusted then and there persists in the environment and it has a half life of 4.5 billion years. According to all the stories I hear about Gulf war syndrome which is suspected to be caused by DU inhalation I am just curious to know whether its effects are felt in Kuwait because there was a lot of DU used in and north of Kuwait and you can’t completely clean it up, so I was just wondering if there are any noticeable health effects in Kuwait.
