The United States has a lot of its own oil. If we sunk oil wells and used the oil that is in the United States, we would not have to be dependent on expensive foreign oil. But, if we did that, it would seriously hurt our environment. Give your opinions as to why we should or should not put in our own oil wells.

The Arabs,Russians and Hugo Chavez are not our friends. Why transfer our wealth to them? If we can supply ourselves with oil and break away from them then let’s do it. Their arrogance is getting hard to take. Giving them our treasure is dangerous.

We don’t have enough oil and it would take years and tuns of money but would be a good idea to drill for our own and alternative energy at the same time so that we would have enough oil to supply our needs not just depending on one energy source . That would also open up new jobs here that we desperately need not to mention keeping the money here

If its there drill for it and I get tired of people like Robert Redford that only think of themselves and not the whole country…today drilling and mining are far better than decades ago..and don’t harm the enviro like before….a movie industry came to our little town a few years ago and shut the entire downtown businesses down to make a movie… we all complained and money spoke…the production went on….so that is how insensitive people like Redford are unless its for them….just like Redford is now trying to stop oil drilling in his backyard Utah… and don’t believe those uninformed who think there is not oil in the U.S….there is PLENTY…but the public is brainwashed into thinking not enough…big B/S

We should drill for our own oil here in the USA and just off-shore. It have as big of an environmental mess as people think it would. The oil companies want to recover all of the oil that they can so that they can turn an even better profit. If they spill they lose money. The oil companies have also got even better ways to drill so that they do not hurt our environment. Also it would make gasoline here in the USA not quite so expensive.

Drilling for oil does not hurt the environment. Those are just lies and propaganda put out by the environmental extremists and the anti America mass media.
Take a look at the Arctic refuge where we should drill for oil. It is a barren waste land. Flat, cold, and bare. No trees, no lakes, no mountains, no people. And the animals could care less if there is an oil well there.
Sending tons of money to the Arabs for their oil is causing serious problems for the entire world. Including funding the terrorists.
