    you have to have a skill or a trade such as sheet-metal worker, welder , diesel mechanic or electrician. They rarely take on unskilled workers.

    you need to do things like get your offshore medical & survival courses done (you normally pay for this yourself) and depending on what kind of skill you have to offer make sure you have your certs for them. Contact an offshore agency – Yellow pages for places like Aberdeen have quite a few of them there.
