They’re adamant about raising taxes on them and are convinced the oil companies will be nice enough to pay the tax themselves rather than pass it onto consumers. Why do they trust them like that? We’;ll pay more at the pump because of their gullibility.
hey at least they aren’t handing money to them like W used to!

Democrats want oil prices to sky rocket. It fits right in with their environmental marxist agenda. We’ll all be walking to work with little beanie propeller hats on every day.

It’s not trust on the parts of the democrats, they know it will be past on to the consumer.
They just want to paint the oil companies as evil, greedy and heartless. Certainly looks like you’re buying it.

To be honest, the oil companies have to be careful in doing that. They took a huge PR hit when they were reporting record profits during the time when barrels of oil were over $140 per barrel, and gas was hitting over $4 per gallon around the nation.
I do expect some of the tax to be passed on, but if it is a tax on profit, how are they going to explain raising the price on gas when oil is at some of the lowest prices in years? Besides, they would have to know HOW MUCH profit they were going to make in order to cover the amount they will be taxed. And the drivers of the nation have found some ways to save money already and use less gas. You don’t think we will see the prices reflect the drop in demand??
Face it – in order to stimulate the economy one has to spend money. And in order to dig out of the hole that is the national debt, taxes are going to have to be raised. If you are so damn concerned about the national debt that is going to be passed on to our children, then why are you complaining about paying more in taxes??
There is no pleasing you Republicans, is there?? Oh, wait – the only way is to do everything your way. To hell with everyone else – do what we want, and all is good in the world??
What was the state of everything when Bush left after his 8 year reign again??

When did the Democrats ever trust anyone? By the way, why should anyone trust the Democratic Leadership in Washington right now, (Pelosi and Reid, and others)?
Also, no matter what the cost of doing business, or the business. Anytime business costs increase, those cost are always passed on to the consumer. Whether it be fuel costs, production costs,or increased business taxes, all of these are "costs of doing business", and those costs do and will get passed on. Democrats already know this. They just hope you are not smart enough to figure it out.
One thing you seem to have forgotten; Obama has suggested doubling the Federal Gasoline Tax to $.36 per gallon. This is the tax we as consumers pay at the pump.

A gallon of gas would be 18 cents cheaper if there were no federal gas tax. People like to blame the oil companies for everything. Our government is making a huge chunk of money every time we fill up.
