Why did the stock market boom in the 1920s?

I don’t understand, why did the stock market boom in the 1920s? Please give a detailed answer and include a link that I could follow for more research on ‘the boom". Thank you.

The stock market boomed in the 20’s because of easy loans. Almost anyone could get a margin loan and buy stock without actually owning it. They were all borrowing from the banks. Unlike the margin requirements today, people loaned large amounts that they did not have. The bankers got worried and started calling in the margin loans forcing people to sell or cover their positions. This created a panic.

History always repeats itself only today it wasn’t margin loans but debt in real estate, home equity and credit cards.

Can a person be killed by a sonic boom?

Can a person be killed by a sonic boom of an aircraft(or anything going faster then sound) if it came close?

I very much doubt it. While I was in the navy, and F-14 and an F-18 broke the sound barrier in formation flying about 50 off the water between our ship and another while we were at sea. I don’t think you could get much closer than that, and I’m still here. As are the hundreds of other people that were watching from the flight deck. I was wearing hearing protection, and it was loud, but certainly not going to kill anybody. I don’t think I would want to be without some sort of hearing protection though.

What is the shape generator used in the beginning of Boom Boom Pow?

In the beginning of Boom Boom Pow, there is a gold-black speaker-like dynamic shape. I want to know what plugin was used to create it, and if possible, where to get it.

Don’t know, but probably tucows.com has a suitable plug-in.

How do I play music from my laptop through my boom box?

Posted by admin on October 22nd, 2009 and filed under boom | 2 Comments »

I just want to play music from my laptop through my boom box and I was wondering if there was a connector cord that would do the trick. The computer has two head phone jacks; one for output and one for input. The potential problem, my boom box only has one head phone jack for output, not input. Is there any way I can get this to work? Please post a link to the magical cord if it exists. Thanks

First off, the computer doesn’t have two headphone jacks. It havs one output jack to be used for speakers or headset and an Inputer jack to be used to plug a microphone in. To play your laptop through your boom box, you need to have some sort of input on it. Say a jack labeled "Mic" or maybe "AUX". If it doesn’t, you’re out of luck. If you’re lucky, you can get a 2.5 mm plug on one end and plug it into your laptops output jack. On the other end would also be 2.5 mm plug to plug into your boom box. How ever if your boom box doesn’t have a place to plug in a 2.5 mm plug as input, it could have RCA jacks for inputer in which case you’d plug the 2.5 mm plug into an adapter to input at the RCA jacks. Good luck.

What is the washout rate for a boom operator in the USAF?

My boyfriend is in the air force and he’s extremely nervous about washing out. He is going to be a boom operator and wants to know the washout rate. He’s motivated to do this so I don’t have any worries, but he still wants to know.

It shouldn’t matter and isn’t something he should be spending time worrying about. If he instead focuses on learning the job and doing what he is supposed to do then he will be fine. KC-135 or KC-10? I would wager the rate would be higher for KC-135 guys (and gals) due to spending all the time in Altus dealing with the douche-bag MTL’s that are there. KC-10 guys have it better because after there initial schools they are upgraded at their first duty station and become part of the operational Air Force and not the AETC crap.

Either way congrats to him for picking one of the best enlisted jobs in the military.

If he is going to be on 135’s, tell him that even though Altus sucks, the MTL’s are dicks, and there are all sorts of lame stupid restrictions, once he gets to his first base he will have one of the best jobs and a great time. It trulyy is one of the best 2 enlisted jobs.
