Reason why I ask is because the economy Boom took care of itself therefore It would have been feasible to imagine our current Bush would have had the same success since the economy was very manageable at that time. Hence I would think we are giving the Clintons too much credit there.

Well that’s very hard to prove one way or the other but your argument is plausible; by the same token, I think that the fall of the USSR would have occurred under any President, including Carter.
What I DO know is that neither Clinton or Carter or Reagan would have trashed the country like Bush has done.
For THAT mess, which we are now in and which we will have Hell to pay for, we can blame Bush entirely IMO. He was reckless and ignorant.
