Obama’s boom is going to explode just like Clinton internet boom did. Even though the space program isn’t getting as much funding , it still all started under a democrat and future endeavors will more then likely be by democrats. Republicans never even think of anything greatly innovative because they are too busy giving money to their rich buddies in old industries.
The older Republicans look through their rear view mirror, instead of looking forward. They don’t like change, unless it makes them richer. They do like wars from which they can profit.

Because they’re pretty much all about the status quo.
Don’t rock the "Big Oil" boat; heaven forbid people should drive electric cars that they charge with electricity generated by solar panels or wind.

Clinton didn’t cause the tech boom
the internet (which enabled the tech boom) began before clinton, back in the republican days of yore.
and there currently is not a "green tech boom". Obama is trying to start one, but it isn’t here yet. And it started under Bush, remember when things like the Prius came out? Do you think that was independent of the green ideology?
Now that I’ve debunked YOUR two points…
what about the end of slavery, what about civil rights, what about the end of Carter’s recession, what about the end of the cold war???

You mean like ending the Cold War, economic booms, ending slavery…Stuff like that done under Republicans?

Lmao. Clinton happened to be president when the Internet exploded, it’s not like he had much of a hand in it. The Internet as a concept actually began in 1969, wayyy before Clinton entered office. You’re probably one of those few who still thinks Algore invented it right?
And the only ‘boom’ Obama will cause is the destruction of america

I hope Obama’s "boom" is not followed with a mushroom cloud in the sky.

Eisenhower started the US space program, the advent of the internet began under George HW Bush, and "green" jobs are a fallacy.

Clinton did not do a thing…everything you use or do today was probably invented in the eighties…cell phones, computers, etc.etc…and btw,no political party EVER invented a damn thing,or created one job..it is ALWAYS the people who do that…

the only thing that’s going to boom is every ones wallet from all the taxes that will be needed to fund this green tech boom and just like with the housing bubble there was a tech stock bubble during the internet boom. Nuclear Energy is the way to go Cheap and efficient. build more power plants. that will create jobs and solve the energy crisis.

Wow I guess I was mistaken about the development of solar technology over the last 9 years and the advancements that they made. Did those hybrid cars hit the market in Clinton’s admin?
Who was at the helm when the Rosen brothers of compaq computer invested heavily into the regenerative braking systems that create hybrid efficiency?
Here is my take on it. The president in office doesn’t make a damn bit of difference as the market and resources dictate the products and the innovation.
But hey I could be way off.

Republicans love to start wars that the sons of commoners die in while they run around making money and waving their flags. That’s their contribution.

really? You honestly believe that the President influences outside science.
Clinton and the internet where did you get that? Just because he was in office doesn’t mean people suddenly bought a PC.
Obama? That’s laughable he’s not going to do anything, a few solar panels WOW!!!!
What about Reagan? Lincoln? Roosevelt?

Apparently you missed the economic boom of the 1980’s that was heavily the result of the political insight of Ronald Reagan, A Republican who helped pulled America out of the 1970’s malaise that was destroying our economic future. You also seem to forget that George W. Bush was in office during the financial boom which followed 9/11 when our economy survived the horrors of 9/11 and then stock market climbed to record highs just a few years ago!

"Green tech boom" we have been promised that for years. The best I have seen is a bunch of temp low wage jobs that no American can raise a family on. Looking back on the republican years I see steady growth, 5% unemployment and the dow hit 14000. Compared to what Obama is doing I wish we had Bush back. And if you think we are going to see economic growth you are living in a fools Paradise.

I hate to tell you this but technology isn’t a republican/democratic thing. And if you did some real research you’d see that under both parties there has been a ‘tech boom’. It’s called progress that doesn’t wait for either party. And your claim about republicans giving money to their buddies made me laugh, you seem to have no clue who is getting rich in this administration.

Bust Follows boom. It’s the natural order of things, FDR had to put up with the bust form the boom of the 20’s, Nixon, Ford and Carter had to deal with the bust of the 70’s which followed the 60’s boom…
Presidents, Democrat or Republican, have a lot less to do with the process as you would like to believe.
