What if Bush was in place of Clinton during the same Tech Boom years?

Posted by admin on December 6th, 2009 and filed under boom | 1 Comment »

Reason why I ask is because the economy Boom took care of itself therefore It would have been feasible to imagine our current Bush would have had the same success since the economy was very manageable at that time. Hence I would think we are giving the Clintons too much credit there.
The set up was ripe for the picking agree?

Well that’s very hard to prove one way or the other but your argument is plausible; by the same token, I think that the fall of the USSR would have occurred under any President, including Carter.

What I DO know is that neither Clinton or Carter or Reagan would have trashed the country like Bush has done.

For THAT mess, which we are now in and which we will have Hell to pay for, we can blame Bush entirely IMO. He was reckless and ignorant.

Where is the Press in regards to the Lefts Communistic Talk of Nationalizing the Oil Industry?

Posted by admin on December 6th, 2009 and filed under oil industry | 11 Comments »

I mean we used to give the USSR a hard time about this sort of behavior and worked to break the USSR up for it and now we are doing it here. I remember in the 70’s when friends of mine spoke of the USSR and said they had noe freedom of religion and that is true here also.

Why is none of this being reported in the NEWS especially the COmmunistic threat of stealing assets from one group the oil company and owners to the Government?

You’re kidding, right? The mainstream media agrees with this; hence, they have a biased interest in not reporting it more.

Can I use sunflower oil instead of vegetable oil?

Posted by admin on December 6th, 2009 and filed under oil | 2 Comments »

I am baking a chocolate cake, and the recipe calls for 70ml vegetable oil. However, the only oil we have is sunflower oil. Can I use this, and will it make a difference to the taste of the cake?

You can use the sunflower oil. It will not affect the cake in any way.

Happy baking!

How many people agree that we need to open the oil wells in America?

Posted by admin on December 3rd, 2009 and filed under oil wells | 25 Comments »

We have both coal and natural gas too.
How stupid can congress be to stop people here from drilling for oil and creating jobs? When have plenty places to dig.
America has to live and we shouldn’t have to depend on other nations for energy when we won’t even support ourselves.
We have all kind of oil in Alaska. Why did they stop the coal mine in West Virginia?

John D? It is intellectually irresponsible to portray lies as fact and use misleading statistics.
Nationbuilder is correctly not taking into account a gargantuine oil field that radical environmentalists and liberal pols will not let the oil companies access. There is enough oil in Alaska alone to make us energy independent for over 30 years. Nationbuilder is also not including the vast offshore areas that the environmentalists and liberal politicians refuse to let the oil companies drill on. There are TRILLIONS of barrels of untapped oil in Alaska, oil shale, the tar sands of NM, UT, AZ, and CO, another huge oild field in of all places Iows that rivals the magnitude ofthe Alaskan oil field, huge reserves of natural gas, etc. We have oil fields in the gulf that are documented. We know they are there and we have a good idea of the billions of barrels they will produce, but we cannot touch them because the gov offshore land lease does not give the oil companies rights to those areas
John D? You, liberal pols, and environmentalists would have us believe that America has no oil and no choice but to either keep sending nearly 800 billion to foreign countries that want to destroy us for our energy needs. That is simply untrue and I challenge any independent thinking conservative to call people like John D to the carpet when they see such moronic, liberal, rhetoric on this site!!!!

Why do I hear a boom from my speakers when I turn on my PC?

Posted by admin on December 3rd, 2009 and filed under boom | 1 Comment »

I have come across several PCs and some of them simply seem to produce a moderate boom through the speakers whenever I turn them on. My main PC does not do that but my mediaPC does that and it gets both irritating and scary at times, especially when I least expect it. Is there anyway to turn it off?

It’s power surge. Normally will occur during power up.

Turn off the volume of the speakers before you turn on the PC.
If your speakers power are tapped from another power socket, turn on the speaker only after the PC is on.

What are Bushs ties to the oil industry ? Is there a good reason to belive beyond a conspiracy theory?

Posted by admin on December 3rd, 2009 and filed under oil industry | 10 Comments »

that he abused his presidency to push oil/gasoline prices, to benefit the oil companies and only the oil companies, with total disregard for the best interest of America and its citizens ?
Plumber rock, they are the lowest in years now that he is in his 2 last months of office and they are still a lot higher than before he took office.

Did you know Bush once owned an oil company? He bought an oil company, but couldn’t find any oil in Texas; the company went bankrupt shortly after he sold all his stock in it.

What if the oil companies get tired of being a scapegoat all the time?

Posted by admin on December 3rd, 2009 and filed under oil companies | 15 Comments »

I mean I own a lot of Exxon stock both my own and inherited. I was thinking, how about if Exxon asks to drill in Alaska, they get told no. Fine, they then refuse to sell gasoline or oil to anyone in the state of the people who vote against them. Get the other oil companies to join them. I bet in about 5 days the people would lynch their elected leaders and the drills would be working just fine.

Your thoughts?

I still don’t know why they put up with the BS congress and Senate have been giving them.. I’d have told them to F O .

How do you check your motorcycle oil level?

Posted by admin on December 3rd, 2009 and filed under oil | 2 Comments »

I have a glass circle, with a low and high point on my motorcycle engine, for checking oil level, and obviously the oil level has to be in between the two, and im quite sure this should be checked when the bike is fully stood up. But, im unsure whether this oil level should be checked when the motorcycle is running, or after it ran when the oil is hot, or after the oil is cooled down. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks alot.

Sparky is correct-NOT running, with the bike standing upright, or on a center stand or with a wood block under the side/kick stand to allow the bike to stand upright.

Best to check when the oil is cold, first thing in the morn before you go for a ride, but can be checked anytime, provided you allow a few minutes for the oil to drain back down.

What is Obama’s plan for the oil industry?

Posted by admin on December 1st, 2009 and filed under oil industry | 21 Comments »

My husband works for the oil industry so naturally Im concerned.
People seriously want to vote for this guy? OMG!

Very simple. He’s going to spend $125 trillion billion to erect a windmill in every backyard in America, which he’ll fund by raising the top marginal tax rate to 300% on all income above the minimum wage and eliminating the Department of Defense.

Soon enough everyone but trial lawyers, college professors, government bureaucrats, union organizers, and those with an IQ below 70 will move to Costa Rica. That will leave a population of about 50 million registered Democrats. At this point the country will be small enough that they can shut down the windmills and power the country with the oil in Chuck Schumer’s hair.

Why do people believe oil companies are responsible for high gas prices?

Posted by admin on December 1st, 2009 and filed under oil companies | 12 Comments »

Please do not answer this with "because they do".

Give me an example using economics, finance or otehr realistic testable theory to show how oil companies are manipulating prices.
Mosat of your responses ignore the fact that oil companies HAVE NO CONTROL over the price of oil!

It is set by the market – oil is traded on an exchange. It is near impossible for the oil companies to manipulate it!

Yes, they could cut supplies to drive up prices, but then they are selling less!

They have record profits because people refuse to drive fuel efficient cars and as a result the supply can barely cover the demand.

So, once again, please explain how it is the oil companies fault?

Well I do not have my hands on their financials but I know Exxon had 10 billion in NET Profits for the last fiscal year. Prices are set by economic situations.. High prices are caused by the Refineres(turns oil to gas)…destroyed in the hurricanes and still recovering..this has cause a shortage in supplies. The enormous use through cars, jets, boats, trains etc..creates a high demand on the low supplies…thus High prices.
