for not investing in the Oil Industry

So, how much money did you lost?

I’m invested in oil and it’s still up from the 90’s it’s nice to see a lull so I can buy in more. I don’t think the slow down will last more than 3 years max.

Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends.

Here are some large companies that
DO NOT import Middle Eastern oil:

Sunoco……………. 0 barrels
Conoco……………. 0 barrels

BP/Phillips………. 0 barrels
Hess……………….. 0 barrels
ARC0. ……………… 0 barrels
Also: Pilot, Flying J, Love’s, RaceTrac, Valero

Very informative! Velero gas is supporing Hugo Chavez. Thank goodness I have a Pilot, Flying J and Love’s close to me.

How does oil react in a recessionary environment?

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2009 and filed under oil | 1 Comment »

Given the current market situation and the movement of the price of oil, the answer is clear that given a recessionary environment, the price of oil will fall. Why is this? Is it because of the market perception that a recession will cause less spending and therefore less demand for oil? If you have any sources, please cite them. Thank you!

As a recession takes old, consumers begin to curtail spending. Since the US consumer is responsible for approximately 70% of economic activity, when they slow spending, the whole economy is affected.

With an economy that is contracting (not growing), which is a classic definition of a recession, the reduced demand flows through the economy. When the economy slows, there is less need to ship goods resulting in lower demand for fuel (be it gas or diesel). Less demand for fuel means less demand for crude oil.

Take a look at this article. http://money.cnn.com/2008/03/07/news/economy/oil_recession/index.htm?postversion=2008030715

The cause for the oil shortage?

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2009 and filed under pennsylvania oil | 5 Comments »

A lot of folks can’t understand how we came
To have an oil shortage here in our country.
Well, there’s a very simple answer.
Nobody bothered to check the oil.
We just didn’t know we were getting low.
The reason for that is purely geographical

Our OIL is located in
ALASKA
California
Coastal Florida
Coastal Louisiana
Kansas
Oklahoma
Pennsylvania
and
Texas.

Our DIP STICKS Are located in Washington , DC !!!

You missed the dipstick in Venezuela.

Giving tax incentives to companies to layoff americans and send jobs overseas

Record budget deficits are a sign of our booming economy

Record trade deficits are a sign of our booming economy

Deregulation over Regulation to protect consumers

Drilling for oil as the center piece of our 21st century energy stragegy and bold new step to the future.

Torture by CIA is ok

Guest workers with swipe cards to come and go as they wish between Mexico and USA

Low funding assistance for college students

Chilren Left behind program by cutting funds to the schools with the lowest test scores and who need help the most.

Not a lot of answers huh? Typical… ask if Obama is a muslim.. you’ll get at least 50 responses. Because, the truth is… McCain is just the same. & his supporters know it.

Is it possible to fill all the oil wells with equal amount of water to compensate for melting of artic ice?

Posted by admin on September 26th, 2009 and filed under oil wells | 3 Comments »

To reduce the rate of rise in sea levels

I’m unsure how you think that would achieve anything.

For starters, oil wells aren’t some magical hole in the ground that contains oil like a big underground bucket. Oil is stored in the pores of rocks, we only get an economical deposit when it’s trapped by a seal which we then drill into for our "well"
The pores of the rocks are already being filled naturally with water, either by sub-oceanic water or ground water in the case of onshore rigs.

Secondly, even if this was theoretically possible, the ratio of "available" oil well space versus the polar icecaps would make it impractical. The reserves of ice dwarfs the amount of oil that has been extracted, so even if it were possible, it wouldn’t make any difference.

So more importantly, reducing the USE of oil is more likely to have an impact on rising sea levels, ie less burning of hydrocarbons means less CO2 which means a reduction in global warming effect (theoretically) which means no polar icecap melting ;-)

what is the cord that connects from the ipod to the boom box called?

Posted by admin on September 26th, 2009 and filed under boom | 1 Comment »

Is there such a thing like that? Like it can connect from the iPod’s headphone cable opening and connect to the boom box somewhere?

You can use the headphone jack to connect to an input on a boom box using a standard stereo – to – stereo cable, providing that the input matches the impedance of the boom box. Unless your boom box is not standard, their should be no issue with connecting the iPod to the boom box. Most in car iPod adapters that come with new vehicle stereo systems are just that, a line in taken off of the iPods headphone jack and connected to the car stereos AUX jack.

How does the petroleum and oil industry benefit to the Australian Economy? ASAP!?!?

Posted by admin on September 26th, 2009 and filed under oil industry | 2 Comments »

I have an assignment due on the Petroleum and Oil industry and i just cant find alot about how its beneficial to the Australian economy. Please help? ASAP!??!

Perth and Fremantle Australia have a large oil/gas business that suppliments their economy. Australia actually has huge reserves of gas. The Gorgon field (of which Chevron is the operator) has like 30+ TCF of gas. Unfortunately (or fortunately if your an environmentalist) there is no market close by as Australia’s population is relatively small and does not consume much. Chevron (along with partners) has proposed building an LNG terminal. For Australia this means – more jobs, more competition for workers – higher wages, increased exportation, access to a secure source of cheap energy, and higher tax revenue for the state.

Is it true that oil companies will buy patents to alternative fuels to make us keep paying for gas?

Posted by admin on September 26th, 2009 and filed under oil companies | 5 Comments »

Apparently oil companies will buy patents to alternative fuels and do nothing with them so no one can take advantage of these alternative fuels, hence forcing us to keep buying gas.

First of all if the patents were worth much the oil companies would buy the patents and build the product, making tons of money in the new venture. So the idea of these companies looking to destroy new ideas is very false, however they do invest heavily in new development of new energy resources of all types.

Although conserving energy is not in their best interest making money is regardless if it is fossil based. So sitting on good ideas is not a good business mode for the oil companies.

What baby oil should i use for newborn baby’s head?

Posted by admin on September 26th, 2009 and filed under oil | 6 Comments »

I am expecting my baby in another 4 weeks and busy wrapping up all the shopping. I am planning to use Olive oil for body massage. Can anyone of you suggest what I should be using for baby’s head? Is olive oil safe to use or is there any other oil that is advisable for baby’s head. Thanks for your help!

Johnson & Johnson baby oil for the whole body head to toe is great!! Just make sure whatever you use is for the little ones. Good luck!!!
